Since 1993, Salesian Sisters of Orocovis have conducted community work with complementary educational and recreational programs at “La Casa Don Bosco,” located at Central Avenue. They direct the “Batuteras Doramas and Orocovis” marching band that hosts more than 60 young children between the ages of 3 and 21. They meet every week for practice and musical training. The band has received several awards at the national and international level and takes part in different parades in the United States, including in New York and Tampa.

At the same time, Salesian Sisters of Orocovis provide a bag and jewelry confection program and Catholic workshops for children, young adults and women.

In 2007 they opened a small computer room where they teach basic computer skills.
